Came here as a midway stop on a drive down to CA and wanted a nice tasty meal. My fiancé got the house special and I got their bon bu hue. The broth was nice and savory - the lemongrass was good in it and loaded it up with plenty of chili oil and hoisin sauce. The service was great and they have lots of options. I do think they make their broth on the saltier side which is likely why we had to drink a lot of water afterwards.
I used to live in the neighborhood and this place hits the spot (especially the morning after a night out). I wouldn't say it's "authentic", but it's good for Eugene. The dining room mostly had tables for groups of two and four. I'd say the prices are fair. There was some delay and miscommunication about seating our group of eight, but once we were seating things went smoothly. Pros: fresh and flavorful food Cons: service can be slow
I would rate this an overall 3.8. I used to live right next door to Pho the good times 2 years ago so I visited frequently. The food is pretty good for the area! I usually get the pho lovers which has flank steak, beef tendon, and tripe. Wait time was a bit slow to get seated but our waitress attended to us quickly when we were seated. Pros: - nice place for a lunch - plenty of condiments - tasty soup!!! Cons: - some options are unexpected like the whipped cream in the Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee drinks - not great for groups. Many tables of 4 but will have to be pushed together for bigger groups
Eh average pho, great service each time I go. They are really great with kids and patient. I've tried other dishes, none too memorable, but does come out fast.
